Meet the Cast of Cabin Fiver

We're pleased to announce the talented actors who will be strutting their stuff in our spring one-act comedy showcase.

Barbara has been in the cast of five productions of Radio; done props for The Sisters Rosensweig, Oliver! and Side Man; and in a former life appeared in school and community theater in NY and Ohio. Her work for money has included perfume sales, gas station accountant, Madison Av "Gal Friday," PBS makeup artist, creator of insurance company brochures and reading teacher.
Carmela Castro-Masterson, Delia Baron in "Chocolate Cake"
Carmela returns to the FCP stage after a six-year hiatus. She was last seen as M'Lynn in FCP's production of Steel Magnolias. Other favorite roles have included: Meg in Crimes of the Heart (also for FCP), Dr. Livingstone in Agnes of God, Aunt Blanche in Brighton Beach Memoirs and Broadway Bound, Cassie Cooper in Rumors, Clear Glass Marbles in Talking With, Hannah in California Suite and Emma Goldman in Assassins.
Elizabeth Chasse, Marsha in "Wanda's Visit"
Elizabeth is a relative newcomer to the stage. Her first onstage appearance was during Freeport Players/Gaslight Theater's world premier of An American Werewolf in London last October. She has appereared in a few locally produced, independent films and has some exciting upcoming projects.
Anne Corbin, Woman 2 in "Miss You"
Anne joins us to revive her acting chops after a nigh twenty-year break from theater. Anne spent much of her youth on stage as an actor, sax player, and singer. Later, she spent her law school days singing classic rock tunes on Washington, D.C., stages before arriving in Maine to "perform" her favorite role: college professor.
Jane Evans, Waitress in "Wanda's Visit"
This is Jane's first performance with the Freeport Players. This is also her first time on stage since the early 80's! When she isn't working on her dramatic comeback, she enjoys doing a variety of outdoor activities and teaching a diverse and wonderful group of ESOL students.
Sven Johnson, Jim in "Wanda's Visit"
The acting bug started nibbling at Sven in college but didn't start biting until he started taking classes with Acorn Productions last year. This is his first stage performance, and he is looking forward to more opportunities to build on the experience.
Jake Junkins, Man in "Miss You"
Jake has been involved in many shows on the Freeport stage over the years, both performing and working behind the scenes. His favorite roles have been as The Wolf in Into the Woods and as Samael in Restitution, and he can often be found operating a board or two in the lighting booth.
Ginny Lee Lawrence, Businesswoman in "Babel's In Arms"
this is Ginny's first play with Freeport Players. Other than being on stage, she enjoys being on the ocean, music, gardening, and spending time with her Siamese cat, Mee-howz.
Joe Lembo, Cannapflit in "Babel's In Arms", Mr. Fuschia in "The Tarantino Variation"
Joe appeared in Sylvia and The Perfect Party for FCP and has performed at numerous other theaters around Maine. He has both national and local commercials among his credits, has appeared on General Hospital for ABC, and guest starred in the feature film Joey Takes a Cab, a role which he created on stage in Hollywood. He performed with Centaur Stage in NYC and is also a member of the Screen Actor's Guild. He lives locally and works as a personal trainer.
Don Libby, Gorph in "Babel's In Arms", Mr. Mauve in "The Tarantino Variation"
Don is from Auburn and works as a polysomnographer. He has been involved with theater for many years, mostly with Community Little Theater in Lewiston/Auburn.
Alicía Ouellette, Woman in "Miss You"
Alicía is a Theater graduate from the University of Southern Maine. She recently was in An American Werewolf in London with the Freeport Players, and before that she played Mrs. Gibbs in Our Town at the Poland Community Players. Alicía is looking forward to expanding her horizons to directing on stage and acting in film.
Madeleine Paine, AnneMarie Fitzer in "Chocolate Cake"
Madeleine is making her Freeport Players debut in Cabin Fiver. Most recently seen in Old Port Playhouse's Yours, Anne as Margot Frank, Madeleine has been performing since she was seven years old. Favorite roles include Molly in Annie (1999), Woodstock in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown (2000), Marta in The Sound of Music (2002), The Baker's Wife in Into the Woods (2003), The Cat in Honk! The Musical (2004), Bonnie in Anything Goes (2006), Ethel P. Savage in The Curious Savage (2008) and an ensemble member of Portland Stage Company's production of A Christmas Carol for the past two years.
Julia Reddy, Wanda in "Wanda's Visit"
Julia has been living and acting in Maine since June 2009. Her past Maine credits include Maggie in LA/Arts' God Touches and Jane in Roundtable's The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told. She will perform this May in Naked Shakespeare's production of As You Like It. She studies with acting coach Stephanie Ross (Acorn Productions).
Nick Rendall, Mr. Puce in "The Tarantino Variation," Eunuch in "Babel's In Arms"
Nick is a Maine native and has been doing things in front of people from a very young age, some of which was frowned upon. Nick is an amateur actor; this is his first play. His only formal theatrical experience is with the Bowdoin College Improvabilities, which, if you couldn't guess by the name, is an improv group.
Erik Tainter, Man 2 in "Miss You"
On his way to college, Erik took the wrong plane and ended up in the Marine Corps. Five years later he was finally on his way to school when he took another detour and ended up in Cabin Fiver auditions here in Freeport. Erik hopes to someday concentrate fully on college, but with the roads being what they are here, who knows.
