Several roles for adults in collection of one-act comedies. Actors should be prepared to cold read from the script and deliver a 30- to 60-second comic monologue.

About the Plays*:

"The Tarantino Variation", Seth Kramer
Three "wiseguys" (may be male or female) face each other in a Mexican standoff.

"Chocolate Cake", Mary Gallagher
Two women -- a "country mouse" and a "brassy city dweller" and both compulsive eaters -- meet during a women's conference.

"Wanda's Visit", Christopher Durang
2M/2W -- Married for over a decade, Jim and Marsha are bored with their relationship...then Wanda shows up. She is a girlfriend from Jim's distant past and the guest from hell. Fourth character is a waiter who has to deal with the threesome on his first day at work.

"Miss You", David Auburn
1 man and 1 woman play four characters shifting relationships in a sequence of phone conversations.

"Babel's In Arms", David Ives
3M/2W (flexible) -- Two construction workers are tasked to build the Tower of Babel. Joined along the way by a priestess, a eunuch, and their supervisor, they try to figure out how many stones they will need to build a tower high enough to reach heaven.
